Collectors buying bond notes at a premium on e-bay
Zimbabwe’s Bond notes which were introduced last year to help ease the cash shortages are selling at a premium on e-commerce website E-bay. In the United States of America, the bond notes which faced a lot of resistance in Zimbabwe are more valuable and are trading at higher rates than in Zimbabwe with bidders offering as much as $7 for a $2 bond note.
This may have something to do with the laws of supply and demand, seeing as they are understandably scarce in the United States. Collectors in the United States have shown a lot of love for Zimbabwe’s paper money with some of them buying the old notes which were introduced the hyperinflation era. The $100 000 000 000 0000, 0ne hundred trillion dollars, is something of a novelty and has been bought for as much as $59.
