Firebrand Norton legislator Temba Mliswa has slammed the Norton Town Council for its failure to produce audited reports and tender procedure documents. Mliswa has threatened to report the council to both the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission and local government minister Saviour Kasukuwere. Mliswa said he wanted to use the information in a meeting with residents. Some Norton residents have accused the council of corruption and of being engaged in shady lady deals
Now I am wondering what you want to do because I am not here to play games, so I am at the wrong forum because I though today at this meeting as you promised I was going to get those documents.
So what I am requesting from you are all the documents including land development certificates before I write to the Local government Minister and the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission calling for an investigation, because I am very thorough about Information, so do not think that I am here to declare war but to ask for clarity so that we move together
The Norton Town council apologised to the MP and promised to call for an urgent council meeting to resolve the issue.
