The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has said that the $300 once-0ff withdrawal for civil servants will start this month even though it was expected to start last month but banks were not implementing it.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Mangudya said:
The$300 once-off withdrawal will be starting end of February. We will also continue to assess and help as much as possible with regards to civil servants salaries. We also continue to teach the public on the use of plastic money because after withdrawing the money, they will go and use it in a shop owned by a foreigner, which will contribute to externalisation.
The RBZ recently set new withdrawal limits after the release of 80 million worth of bond notes with banks expected to give clients $100 per day or $300 per week.
