ZimPF deputy national youth chairperson resigns, accuses Mujuru of intolerance and cronyism
The drama that is currently engulfing opposition Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) party does not seem to be dying down, as this morning Prosper Gavanga, the ZimPF deputy national youth chairperson tendered his resignation letter. Gavanga sent his resignation letter to Joice Mujuru before sending it to journalists and distributing it on social media.
Yesterday Mujuru fired seven senior party leaders for allegedly plotting to take her position as President. However, the seven who call themselves “the elders” retaliated back and fired Mujuru instead. They insisted that she had no power to fire them.
In his resignation letter, Gavanga says he has lost all hope in Mujuru and accused her of surrounding herself with corrupt cronies. He also accused he of not promoting tolerance and inclusivity.
