Chamisa advises Chinamasa to fund ZEC fully in order to avoid Yahya Jammeh situation

Nelson Chamisa, one of the MDC-T‘s vice presidents has advised President Mugabe to concede defeat in next year’s elections and not to follow the example of Yahya Jammeh of the Cambia. Jammeh had to be forced out of power by the threat of military action by the ECOWAS regional block. Chamisa said Mugabe should have an exit plan in order to avoid inconveniences. Chamisa also said that Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa,  should ensure that ZEC is fullly capacitated to enable it to meet its obligations

Said Chamisa:

The Finance minister should ensure the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has adequate resources to carry out its mandate. We don’t want to leave room for contestations after elections or else we end up like Gambia

Mweya waJammeh wekuramba kudyiwa mu election ngaubude muno.

We should not leave room for the Jammeh spirit. In fact, the wave is going around and we have it here in 2018.
