Pastor Evan spent the night in police custody at Harare Central Police station. He is being represented by lawyer Harrison Nkomo and Advocate Fadzayi Mahere. At the time of this statement, there is no further information about when he will stand before a judge but he is currently with his lawyers.
Pastor Evan always maintained that he left Zimbabwe for the safety of his family who were being increasingly threatened at the time of his departure but always said he would return. Zimbabwe is his home and he has committed no crimes.

As the State has chosen to continue to persecute innocent citizens who raise their voices to speak out against poverty, corruption and injustice, we urge you to join hands with us as we begin the arduous task of defending an innocent man AGAIN!
#ThisFlag Citizens’ Movement belongs to all Zimbabweans. We thank you for continuing to stand behind Pastor Evan as we dream of a better Zimbabwe. We urge you not to lose heart as we continue to Ask, Speak and Act.

Information will be made available as soon as possible. We ask that you continue to pray for Pastor Evan.
