VP Mphoko ridiculed for inviting media to official opening of his supermarket

On Thursday, a letter from Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko‘s went viral on social media.  The letter was addressed to The Secretary of Media information and Broadcasting services George Charamba and was inviting media to the official opening of the Vice President’s new supermarket in Sunningdale

 

The letter has drawn mainly ridicule in cyberspace with some people accusing Mphoko of abusing state resources.

MDC- T spokesperson Obert Gutu Said:

This is serious and shameful abuse of State resources to pursue a personal business interest. Pathetic!!

Journalist Brezh Malaba saw the lighter side of the situation and joking asked if  Herald Columnist Nathaniel Manheru had leaked the document.  Said Malaba,

Lawyer ad Political and Legal analyst, Alex Magaisa  chose to embrace the lighter  side and asked

Ah! You open your general dealer and you want people to come and cheer you on as you cut the ribbon?
