Zanu PF Youth League asks Provinces to raise $25 000 each for Mugabe’s 93rd birthday

The Zanu PF Youth is stepping up preparations for President Robert Mugabe‘s 93rd birthday party.  The youth league has formed a fundraising committee ahead of Mugabe’s birthday which is on the 21st of February.  Each province has been given a $25 000 target for the party.  However, this number is lower than last year’s figure of $30 000 per province.  This is perhaps an acknowledgement that the economy is not performing very well.

Matabeleland North youth provincial secretary for Information and Publicity Elias Sibanda said:

A committee has been formed to fundraise for the occasion. Its main duty will be to fundraise and our target is $25 000 that should go to the national office.
