Zanu PF Youths have been promised cars and smartphones to assist them in their duties in the coming 2018 elections. Ignatius Chombo the Zanu PF Secretary for Administration said the smartphones would allow the youths to penetrate social media in order to acquire more votes. The vehicles will be for key individuals in the party who would use them in order to complete their duties.
Speaking at a Zanu PF National Youths Executive Council meeting on Friday, Chombo said:
When the Secretary for Youths approached us, we heeded the call and we will be giving you the cars. These vehicles will be used for campaigns as you all are aware we are already in the 2018 election campaign mode. Key individuals will get vehicles earmarked specifically for them so that we allow them to carry out their duties as and when required
…You are an educated lot, so we want to see if we can get you phones so that we also penetrate into the social media space and acquire more votes.
