Nikuv aiming to supply biometric voters registration kits and software for 2018 Elections

Nikuv International Projects has been revealed to be one of the 12 companies that are bidding to supply ZEC with biometric registration kits and software. According to a report by New Zimbabwe, Africom and Nikuv are two of the 12 companies that have submitted bids. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is funding the procurement of the Biometric Voters Registration equipment.

According to New Zimbabwe, some people responsible for the tenders are uneasy about the possibility of Nikuv being offered the contract. The firm received a lot of heat for supposedly influencing the 2013 elections.

The source who spoke to New Zimbabwe said:

Nikuv submitted its bid but what is of concern is that the company operates like a mafia and there are fears that it will manipulate the election process in Zimbabwe if it is awarded the tender
