Parents paying fees with goats and chickens as cash crisis persists

Some rural schools are allowing parents to pay school fees using livestock such as goats and chickens as the cash crisis persists.  The school officials feel it would be better to have some form of payment, rather than none at all.  Other parents are even offering to pay through labour.

A teacher at Nhoro Primary School in Marondera spoke to New Zimbabwe saying:

The school has accepted this form of payment as it is better than not paying anything. Other parents are asking if they can provide free labour at the school to offset their debts.
