Mliswa says Mnangagwa should take over now before Zanu-PF expires in 2018

Outspoken MP for Norton, Temba Mliswa has said that Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa should take over from President Robert Mugabe now while there is still something to salvage.  He said if Mnangagwa fails to take over now, then he will never rule the country because Zanu-PF will “expire in 2018.”

In an interview with New Zimbabwe, Mnangagwa said:

It is not about warming up or wanting to go back to Zanu PF but it is about being realistic. From a constitutional point of view, Zanu PF is in power until 2018 and there is no dispute about that and while they are in power the President is Robert Mugabe.

…2018 people have said that Mnangagwa is not electable and is that not good for the opposition? So why are they worried and why would they now want to link me to him,” said the controversial former Zanu PF Mashonaland West provincial chairman.
