ZACC vows to jail Jonathan Moyo in 2017

A member of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission who spoke to NewZimbabwe.com on condition of anonymity vowed that in 2017 they are going to make history by sending Jonathan Moyo to jail.

He also said that next year they will follow up on the case in which Professor Moyo, his deputy and other ministry officials are accused of fleecing Zimdef of close to half a million even though Moyo has challenged his arrest by ZACC at the constitutional court. Said the official:

We are closely following all the shenanigans which Professor Moyo is doing. It is his (Moyo’s) constitutional right to challenge whatever he wants but the truth of the matter is that he stole the money and he shall not only be prosecuted but be convicted and serve a jail term. We did a thorough investigation in this case and the evidence we have guarantees a conviction by any reasonable court of law not only in Zimbabwe but the world over, that is why we are taking this route. Come 2017 Jonathan Moyo, will be a convict.
