RBZ Ammendment Bill sails through Parliament

The RBZ Amendment Bill, which will legalize the issuing and use bond notes was passed by the National Assembly today.  The bill was supposed to be passed on Wednesday, but there were insufficient legislators to form a quorum.  Therefore Parliament had to be recalled back this Friday.  It took less than 10 minutes for all procedure relating to the reading of the bill.

Parliament has adjourned until 24 January 2017.
