Goalkeeper of the Year, Petros Mhari speaks on his exclusion by Pasuwa from AFCON squad

Speaking to The Chronicle, Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Goalkeeper of the Year Petros Mhari said he has no hard feelings over his exclusion from the provisional African Cup of Nations squad announced by Warriors coach Callisto Pasuwa.

Said Mhari:

I have no hard feelings but instead I support the guys that have been selected, I am happy for them. We can’t all be in the squad, my time will come. I have no problem with the coach nor any member of his technical team.

In terms of goalkeepers, Pasuwa chose Tatenda Mukuruva of Dynamos, How Mine’s Bernard Donovan , Nelson Chadya of Ngezi Platinum Stars and Takabva Mawaya of ZPC Kariba. However many felt Pasuwa should have called up Mhari who was voted the Goalkeeper of the Year.
