Mnangwangwa allies barred from holding ZANU-PF positions after allegedly disrespecting First Lady

The ZANU PF politburo this week barred three three suspended provincial chairpersons from holding any positions in the party. The three allegedly disrespected First Lady Grace Mugabe.  This means that the three have now been relegated to ordinary card carrying members.

This is seen as a huge blow to Emmerson Mnangwagwa‘s faction, known as Team Lacoste, as the three are reported to be members of this faction.   The three are:

  •  Kizito Chivamba (Midlands),
  • Ezra Chadzamira (Masvingo)
  •  Biggie Matiza (Mashonaland East).

Zanu-PF political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere said:

Yes, they have been ordered not to contest for their previous positions.

The decision by the politburo was communicated to the central committee by Chinamasa. They were not suspended, but found guilty and barred from holding provincial posts.
