Alpha Media Holding wins $247 000 lawsuit against Gideon Gono

Alpha Media Holding (AMH) was granted a default judgment in a $247 000 lawsuit against Globeflower (Pvt) Ltd.  Globeflower is owned by former RBZ governor Gideon Gono.  High Court Judge, Justice Amy Tsanga granted the default judgment after AMH lawyer, Mordecai Mahlangu, opposed an application for further postponement.  Globeflower had requested postponements on several occasions.

Mahlangu said:

The matter had been postponed a number of times at the request of the defendants and one can only do that for as much time, so we opposed it…  We now just have to collect. If they don’t pay, we will move in to attach property.
