More than 72% of Zimbabwean workers suffer from stress and depression: Industrial Psychological Consultants

According to a report by the Industrial Psychological Consultants (IPC),  more than 72% of Zimbabwean workers suffer from stress and depression.

A total of 1097 people participated in the study.  This included  57, 8 percent males and 42, 2 percent females.  The IPC also said that workers turn to prophets and traditional leaders to cope with stress.  This is due to the stigma associated with suffering stress and mental related diseases.

The IPC said:

Based on these results our estimate is that companies are losing over $296,161,600.00 per year in wages and productivity through mental health or stress related absence from work.
