High Court Judge Charles Hungwe, has been accused of ignoring the Constitution and misdirecting himself. This comes after Hungwe granted an interdict to stop the interviews for selecting the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The interviews were scheduled for tomorrow. Hungwe did not state his reasons.
United Kingdom based legal expert Alex Magaisa and Minister of Higher Education Professor Jonathan Moyo were among the first to register their disquiet over the rulings.
Clearly Justice Hungwe has misdirected himself. But why?
