Gospel musician removed from remand after state fails to give him trial date

Gospel musician Elias Musakwa  was yesterday removed from remand by magistrate Arnold Maburo after the state failed to furnish him with a trial date for the third consecutive time.  Musakwa was facing charges of threats of future violence.  The court ordered the state to proceed by way of summons. This was after the prosecutor, Nyikadzino Machingura had applied for another postponement claiming that his key witness was unavailable due to illness.
