Cost of living goes down, marginally : Zimstat

According to the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat) the cost of living for an individual has gone done marginally from $95,42  to $95, 06.  This amount factors in food as well as nonfood items.  According to Zimstat, the majority of Zimbabweans is living on less than  one dollar a day.

Economist, Prosper Chitambara said:

The cost of living remains very high even though our inflation has been negative, in actual fact, it is a paradox. What it actually means is prices have been increasing at a slower pace, but again, the cost of basic commodities in Zimbabwe remains relatively higher compared to our neighbouring countries.
