Magaya appointed Tourism Ambassador

Speaking to The Sunday Mail on the sidelines of a five-hour clean-up campaign in the capital on Saturday, Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Prophet Walter Magaya revealed that he has been appointed religious tourism ambassador by the Harare Metropolitan Province.

Said Magaya:

I would like to thank the Government of Zimbabwe for naming me the religious tourism ambassador through the Harare Metropolitan Province. This shows that the Government appreciates the role played by the church in bringing or attracting foreigners who throng PHD church services every week. Over the years, PHD has been an attraction to religious tourists who come to worship with us while others take time to visit our prayer mountain. Also, tens of thousands of Christians come to PHD’s annual Night of Turnaround. All these people spend foreign currency, which in itself is a contribution towards the tourism sector.

Magaya said that next year his church is planning a bigger clean-up exercise. He also called upon other churches to find time to assist Harare City Council in cleaning the city.
