Zimbabwean pace bowler, Brian Vitori reported for illegal bowling again

Zimbabwean fast bowler Brian Vitori has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action during the final of the Tri-Nation Series against Sri Lanka which Zimbabwe lost by six wickets.

Vitori bowled 9 overs in the match which was his first One Day International (ODI) since July 2015. A Match Officials’ Report, which was handed over to Zimbabwe Cricket, cited concerns about the legality of the 26-year-old’s bowling action during the course of the match. It was the only match that he played in the complete series.

Vitori has been suspended before in February by International Cricket Council (ICC) after he was reported of an illegal action during a Twenty20 International game against Bangladesh. Vitori will be required to submit to further testing within 14 days but is, however, permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the testing are known.
