Mkwananzi to appear in court after spending three nights in jail

Tajamuka spokesperson, Promise Mkwananzi who was arrested on November 28, 2016 after holding a street press conference on the introduction of bond notes together with other activists Mehluli Dube and Kudakwashe Manjonjo, is set to appear in court today at 8:30 am. Mkwananzi and others intially appeared in court on November 28.

In his speech Mkwananzi urged President Robert Mugabe to step down and said that the introduction of the bond notes was an attempt by the Zanu PF government to rob the poor. He also urged Zimbabweans to join yesterday’s protest on bond notes which resulted in running battles between the police and protestors.
