12-year-old refuses legal abortion, says she is in love with rapist

A 12-year-old girl told a Plumtree magistrate that she was unwilling to have a legal abortion despite having been raped.  She also told the Magistrate that she was in lover with her alleged rapist and would protect him at all costs.  The minor can noot be named but the minor who allegedly raped and impregnated her when she was 11 years old has been identified as Douglas Ndlovu (18).  Ndlovu is facing 7 counts of raping a minor.

Addressing the magistrate the minor said:

I am prepared to have this child. I love my boyfriend. We’ve discussed this and we agreed that we are going to look after our child. If you people send him to jail, who is going to fend for my child?
