S.A. company could be printing Bond Notes
Even though Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor John Mangudya has refused to state where the bond notes are being printed, there are strong suspicions that it could be South Africa. After the tweet, below its almost certain that the $1 bond coins came from a South African company called South African Mint Company. This tallies with the report from October by the Zimbabwean Independent that the same company had been minting smaller denomination bond notes since 2014. Some have speculated that the same company is also printing bond notes although it is still yet to be verified.
