Kasukuwere reverses Council's decision to suspend acting town clerk on corruption allegations
Local Government Minister Saviour Kasukuwere has reversed Harare City Council‘s decision to suspend Acting Town Clerk Mrs Josephine Ncube on corruption allegations.
Kasukuwere said that Council did not follow proper procedure when it suspended Ncube who was sent on forced leave by Harare Mayor Bernard Manyenyeni on November 4. He said that his Ministry will present an audit report which will determine who gets suspended or fired.
Speaking to The Herald, he said the suspension of Mrs Ncube and human capital director Dr Cainos Chingombe disrupted work at Town House. He said he was determined to fight corruption, but things should be done properly.
