Under fire ZIFA president Phillip Chiyangwa saw his woes mounting after he was sued together with ZIFA at the High Court for over $160 000, by Daisy Guest House after allegedly defaulting on settling the bill. Daisy Guest House provided the Men’s National football team with accommodation, food and beverages in 2014.
The plaintiffs, Daisy Guest House, told the court:
It was a term of the agreement that the plaintiff (Daisy Guest House) would offer subsidised rates to the first defendant (Zifa) in the sum of $25 per person and that the first defendant would be solely responsible for payment in respect to all expenses incurred at plaintiff’s lodge by the members of the men’s senior soccer team
. . . the plaintiff will pray for an order that the first defendant be ordered to meet its financial obligations as they relate to the plaintiff
