Mliswa says Mugabe lied about Zanu PF candidate in Norton being a thief
Norton legislator, Temba Mliswa, has said that President Robert Mugabe lied that Zanu PF candidate for Norton by-election was a thief.
Speaking at a youth convention held in Harare this Saturday, Mliswa came to Ronald Chindedza‘s defence and said that Chindedza is an honest and hardworking man who earns a living from farming. He also asked what Mugabe would have said had Chindedza won the seat.
Mliswa said,
Yes, the President accused him, but Ronnie is a good youth who dealt with criminals. He is not a criminal. He is a farmer who was given a farm. He works hard. He is true to the cause. The biggest criminal in his campaign was (Ignatius) Chombo as provincial chairman, then (Saviour) Kasukuwere. He (Chindedza) dealt with hard core criminals. Jonathan Moyo is the thief but you go to such a young man and say to the people we nominated a thief.
He also said that Zanu PF is a party for thieves.
