MDC-T wants Tsvangirai and not Mujuru to lead coalition
NewsDay has learnt that MDC-T supporters have rejected the idea of a Mujuru-led coalition between their party and Joice Mujuru‘s Zimbabwe People First saying they prefer Morgan Tsvangirai.
MDC-T insiders told NewsDay that the party was holding provincial consultations to gauge the mood of their supporters before they get into a coalition. From these consultations the people have said that they would want a coalition led by Tsvangirai and not Mujuru.
However Tsvangirai’s spokesperson, Luke Tamborinyoka said that he was not aware that any provincial consultations were being done. People First spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire said it will deal with the MDC-T leadership and not the feelings of individual supporters.
