Pupils left in a lurch after closure of "illegal" boarding school.

Parents of students at Beautiful Beginners Boarding School in Marondera were left stranded after their children where evicted from the school’s premises by the Messenger of Court, after the school authorities had allegedly defaulted in paying rentals.

The school, which catered for primary school students as well as form one students, was revealed to be operating illegally as it was unregistered with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

An unnamed source told Newsday that:

There are a number of issues here. The school is failing to settle just less than $2 000 in rental debts. The problem is that the owners are politicizing this whole issue. Moreover, other residents have filed a report with the relevant authorities accusing the children of making a lot of noise.
