Zanu PF youth disrupt public hearing on electoral reforms & manhandle MDC-T MP

A public hearing on proposed electoral reforms ended prematurely here after suspected Zanu PF youths went on a rampage and manhandled the chair, Jessie Majome, as they accused the MPs of bias.  The parliamentary portfolio Committee on Justice Legal and Parliamentary Affairs meeting was held at the Dangamvura Beit hall and was co-chaired by MPs, Majome and Priscilla Misihairabwi.

Zanu PF youths said Majome and Misihairabwi were only recording views from members of the opposition. She alleged that some youths had been ferried by Chikanga Dangamvura MP and local businessman Esau Mupfumi with a clear agenda to disrupt the meeting,

There are people who came with the intention of disrupting the meeting; they came to disturb those who wanted make their submissions in peace. We will not be deterred from getting the views of Zimbabwean who want to speak about free and fair elections. What is disheartening is that these people were clearly well organized and were bussed by a fellow MP to come and harass his colleagues who are carrying out their duties.
