Speaking on the sidelines of a tour of the transmitter site in Gwanda this Wednesday, George Charamba said government will not be pressured into issuing more radio broadcasting licences, as the constrained fiscal space is affecting the performance of existing stations.
Charamba said,
Government which is committed to ensuring that the broadcasting sector is viable will not yield to political pressures to issue more commercial and community radio broadcasting licenses under the current economic environment.
