Govt and ZHRC in Mazowe to investigate claims that food is being given to Zanu PF members only
Speaking to the Herald, Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Prisca Mupfumira, said Government and the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission are in Mazowe to investigate claims that food is being distributed along partisan lines.
She said,
I met the Commission chairperson (Mr Elasto Mugwadi) and I pleaded with him that in future when we have such incidents, let’s investigate together. The Commission should not come to me with a report, which they have investigated. Let’s investigate together. Government has a policy and it might only be a case of an individual with a personal agenda. As I speak, we have a team that has gone to Mazowe with the Commission to investigate those grievances. It is only after that, that we will find ways of disciplining offenders should there be any.
