Zimbabwe's child marriage advocate wins at MTV Africa Music Award 2016

Mary Taedzerwa, the Child Marriage advocate won the Africa Reimagined Award at the recently held MTV Africa Music Awards. She won the award together with Kenyan activist Vivian Onano.
The Africa Reimagined Award is a category honouring individuals reshaping the narrative around Africa.
Mary Taedzerwa has been working with Plan International as an advocate to end early child marriage in Zimbabwe herself being a victim of it after marrying at the age of 15.
