CAPS United produces comeback against Dynamos to keep top spot

CAPS United produced at stunning comeback to draw 3-3 with Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon. Dynamos looked to have clinched a big win with a 3-0 lead but three late goals secured CAPS United a point that keeps them on top of the table.

Rodreck Mutuma gave Dynamos the lead when he tapped in after Jorum Muchambo had cleared Brett Amidu’s shot into his path. In the 61st minute Amidu set up Masimba Mambare to score the second. With CAPS United deploying numbers forward the defence was left exposed and in the 74th minute Macheka took advantage of a mistake between Makatuka and Jorum Muchambo.

At that stage Dynamos looked fully in control however the drama was to unfold late into the game. In the 86th minute Dennis Dauda scored from a header after Dominic Chungwa’s effort had come off the post. Three minutes later Kambanje made it 3-2.With CAPS United having the momentum Dauda grabbed his second in added time to complete a comeback for the Green Machine.
