Chamisa To Attend New Lesotho Prime Minister's Inauguration | Report

CCC leader Nelson Chamisa reportedly left the country on Wednesday for Lesotho to attend the inauguration of the country’s new prime minister, Sam Matekane (64), set for Friday.

Matekane’s six-month-old party won 56 out of 120 parliamentary seats but had to form a coalition government with two other parties after it failed to secure an absolute majority (at least 61 seats).

NewZimbabwe.com reported sources within CCC as saying Chamisa was among the invited guests to attend Matekane’s inauguration. Said the source:

He (Chamisa) flew out early Wednesday morning heading for Lesotho following the honour of having him as one of the invited dignitaries.

He somehow enjoys cordial relations with incoming Lesotho’s Head of State and the duo has exchanged notes on political challenges bedeviling their nations.
