Mighty Warriors lose to South Africa

Zimbabwe’s Mighty Warriors lost 2-1 to South Africa in the COSAFA Women Championship final played at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

Rutendo Makore scored for the Mighty Warriors in the second half while South Africa scored through Christina Kgatlana and Leandra Smeda. Zimbabwe’s Rutendo Makore was the tournament’s top goal scorer after netting ten goals while Chipo Dzingai was named Goalkeeper Of The Tournament. South Africa won their fourth COSAFA having won in 2002, 2006 & 2008.
