Kasukuwere dismisses Zanu-PF Harare Province's decision to fire his friend Charles Tavengwa as chairman

Local Government Minister and Zanu-PF National Political Commissar Saviour Kasukuwere has dismissed the firing of Charles Tavengwa as Harare Provincial chairman stating that the move is null and void.

Charles Tawengwa was fired allegedly because of his close relationship with Kasukuwere, which Zanu-PF Harare Province said was affecting party business. Tawengwa is also accused of trying to impose a candidate for the Ward 46 council by-election. The province nominated Central Committee member Justin Zvandasara as acting chairman, deputised by Andy Mhlanga. The province said that they wanted Zanu-PF’s Politburo to give them dates to elect its chairman.
