Khama Billiat to delay arrival for camp due to injury, not banned

Warriors midfielder Khama Billiat will delay getting into camp for the forthcoming AFCON qualifier against Liberia as he is nursing an injury which he sustained playing for his club.  He has not been banned from playing for the Warriors unlike the quartet of Willard Katsande,  Cuthbert Malajila, Nyasha Mushekwi and Matthew Rusike.

Warriors’ manager Wellington Mupandare said:

Khama injured his toe and he is receiving treatment. We received a notification from his club and its official. His club is also playing in the CAF Champion’s League and they might hold on to him until the weekend. It’s unlike the alleged snub rumour that has been going around.

We don’t want this issue to be blown out of proportion. We want to avoid an unnecessary noise over him. Remember what happened to him following his delay for the AFCON camp in January
