"Mugabe has promoted mediocrity into a national religion"

President Robert Mugabe has been criticized for his continued failure to take action against corrupt ministers and other government officials. People’s Democratic Party president Tendai Biti added that Mugabe has made mediocrity a religion.

Speaking on social media site, Twitter, Mugabe said:

Mediocrity is the national religion and Mugabe is its Archbishop. The Mampara of the Year is the Makoni peasant (Finance minister Patrick) Chinamasa. He gets a gong for being 1st Finance minister to fail to pay wages in 126 years.
