Magistrates resign "in protest over transfer"

Two Bulawayo magistrates resigned after being transferred  to new stations allegedly as a sign of protest  over the redeployments. The Judiciary Service Commission, has refuted that assertion saying the two left for undiscloed resoasons.  The magistrates, Mr Abednico Ndebele and Ms Maryln Muchina who were based at Western Commmonage courts were transferred to Esigodhini and Mutoko respectively.

Chief Magistrate Mr Mishrod Guvamombe said regarding the transfers:

The two have resigned but it has nothing to do with the transfers. They never complained, they instead cited other reasons.

As for deployments it’s part of their work but so far none of the magistrates moved have complained. To those who have challenges we endeavor to address them,
