Harare City Council clashes with and blacklists IDBZ from future council projects

Harare City Council (HCC) has fallen out with the Infrastructural Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ) over an unnamed project.  So bad is the fall out that Harare City Council have decided to terminate IDBZ’s involvement in the plans to redevelop Mbare Musika. It is also reported that  IBDZ have been frozen out and will not be involved in any future Council projects.

Harare mayor, Bernard Manyenyeni, told the Financial Gazette that:

The souring of the relationship with the bank has nothing to do with Mbare or Olshevik. The role of IDBZ is suspended for all council projects because of another project.
