Tajamuka demands swipe machines at toll gates
Social movement Tajamuka/Sesjikile Campaign has written a letter to Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor, Dr John Mangudya demanding that he facilitates the installation of swipe machines at tollgates.
In the letter the group argues that the insistence by the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara) that motorists pay in cash was not realistic. Mangudya’s response to the letter was, “Many thanks for bringing the matter to our attention.”
Government through the Ministry of Home Affairs said that it will be introducing swipe machines at police checkpoints.
