No respite in sight as heat wave expected to continue

Zimbabweans should brace themselves for more scorching temperatures as the Met Department  warns that the ongoing heat wave will persist.  Temperatures are expected to go range from 33 degreees to 43 degrees countrywide.  Rainfall is also expected, but the Met Department is not optimistic about the amount.

The department also warned people about the possibility of heavy rains and and violent storms in a statement which said:

it is also important to note that the combination of this moisture together with heat can trigger violet storms and is usually accompanied by hail and damaging winds.
