Lawyer says banks should explain what happened to Zim dollars first before they request clients to sign new terms
Prominent lawyer Fadzayi Mahere has urged Zimbabweans not to sign any new terms and conditions from their banks. In a Facebook post she writes,
Do NOT sign any new terms of conditions from your bank. It’s your right to refuse. And – we MUST object to any changes to the existing terms and conditions.
Surely they must explain where they put our money first?
FeedbackWe do not want bond notes. The banks have no right to force them down our throats.
They didn’t ask for permission when they donated our deposits to the RBZ. Why should they purport to involve us now? The banks have a lot of explaining to do. A LOT.
