Mugabe says Zanu PF will not protect corrupt members regardless of position

Speaking at the official opening of Murongwe Primary School and clinic in Mukumbura Mount Darwin this Thursday, Zanu PF President, Robert Mugabe, said his party will not protect anyone found to be corrupt irrespective of their position in the party or government.

Addressing thousands of people who turned up for the official opening of Murongwe Primary School and Clinic, Mugabe said government departments and individuals fingered in alleged corrupt practises as reported in the media will not be spared but should be given an opportunity to defend themselves in court.

President Mugabe described the recent failure by Zanu PF to retain the Norton parliamentary seat as a disastrous mistake that should not be allowed to happen again.

Mugabe’s comments come at a time when Higher Education Minister Jonathan Moyo and Local Goverrnment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere are facing corruption allegations and there have been calls to have them arrested.
