Zanu PF hands over 5 000 stands in Norton ahead of by-election
Zanu-PF yesterday unveiled 5 000 residential stands to youths in Norton. The stands were handed over to them by Zanu-PF youth secretary Kudzai Chipanga.
Chipanga said the stands were a fulfilment of promises made by the ruling party to the Youth League,
As part of the ruling party’s mandate to empower youths and indigenise as promised, we have delivered 5 000 stands that are going to be pegged and allocated to Norton youths as per stand numbers that were allocated to Youth League members.
FeedbackChipanga is on record saying that Zanu PF Youth will not vote for the party if they are not given stands. In the recording he says,
Zanu PF rebelled in 1980 and we won our independence. In 2000, the party again rebelled to take back our land. Now the youth league has rebelled. We are not going to vote without stands.
